Herbert E. CHURCH, 56, Route 3 in Sapulpa, died Wednesday, Nov. 15,
1995, at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the True Life Tabernacle with
the Revs. William H. VANCE and George VANCE officiating. Burial will be
in the Mounds Cemetery under
the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. CHURCH was born Oct. 9, 1939 in Fort Gibson. He married Donna
COCHIAN July 30, 1981 in Sapulpa.
He was a member of the Church of God and owner of the Glenpool
Commercial Tarp and Canvas. He was the former owner of Jenks House
Movers and Sand Blasting Co. He was a horse trainer and a member of the
Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission and American Quarter Horse Association.
He helped organize the Pari-mutual Racing and Jockey Club of America.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie; and a brother, Brad
CHURCH.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, of the home; father, David E.
CHURCH of Sapulpa; three sons, Herbert CHURCH of Bartlesville, David
CHURCH of the home, and Kevin CHURCH of Glenpool; step-son, Mark
STUNKARD OF Fairland, step-daughter, Sue FOREMAN of Tulsa; five sisters,
Aline NANCE of Tulsa, Opal ALLEN of Mounds, Lahoma VANCE of Lawton,
Shirley EMERY of Coweta and Jessie BYNUM of Franklin, Tenn; four
grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Herbert E. CHURCH were held at 2 p.m. Saturday
in the True Life Tabernacle.
The Revs. William H. VANCE and George VANCE officiated. Interment
followed in the Mounds Cemetery with Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa in
charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Lewis LONG Jr., Wes DICKINSON, Charles GOLDEN,
Herman RILEY, Leon GILBERT and John HARRIS.
Mr. CHURCH had been a Sapulpa resident for the past 21 years. He died
Wednesday at his home.
