KIEFER — Mrs. Chester (Mary) Cumbey, 78, Kiefer, died Thursday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at the Kiefer First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jess Canafax and Randy Parker officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket Bearers will be Bernard Barnhart, B. J. Barnhart, David Barnhart, Leon Barnhart, Duge Barnhart and Bret Barnhart. Honorary casket bearer is Herb Barnhart.

She was born Nov 16, 1911, in Durham, Ark., and moved to Kiefer 53 years ago. Mrs. Cumbey was a homemaker, member of the Rebecca Lodge and a member of the Kiefer First Baptist Church.

She married Chester Cumbey on Sep 22, 1929, in Durham. Mrs. Cumbey was preceded in death by daughter Lourene Cumbey.

Survivors include husband Chester Cumbey of the home; brother Homer Smith of Elkins, Ark.; sister Carrie Osborn of Fayetteville, Ark.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
