Chester W. Cumbey, 83, Kiefer, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Kiefer with Rev. Bobby Roe officiating.

Burial is scheduled to follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Cumbey was born Sep 4, 1910. He was a life-long resident of Kiefer and a member of the Kiefer Baptist Church. He was a 32-degree Mason and a member of IOOF. He had retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft.

Survivors include brother Bill Cumbey of Mounds; sister Peggy Wallace of Mounds; granddaughter Deborah Lankford of Glenpool, and great-granddaughters Heather and Tarah Lankford.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mary, son, Gene, and daughter, Lourene.

Funeral services for Chester W. Cumbey were to be held today at 10:30 am in the Kiefer First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Roe officiating.

Burial was to follow in the South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casketbearers were David Barnhart, Duge Barnhart, B. J. Barnhart, Leon Barnhart, Bret Barnhart and Jon Barnhart. Honorary bearers were Herb Barnhart, Clifford Patrick and Jim Greer.

Cumbey, a lifelong resident of Kiefer, died Saturday at the Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
