Updated: 06 Sep 2009 Roy A. Desjarlais Ray A. Desjarlais, 40, of Kellyville, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at the New Life Fellowship in Kellyville with Rev. Gary Staiger officiating. Burial is to follow in the Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Desjarlais was born Aug 12, 1953 in Springville, NY. He married Yvonne Hankins Feb 18, 1978 in Joplin, Mo and served in the US Navy in Vietnam. He moved to the Sapulpa area in 1975 and lived in Kellyville the past six months. He was a Baptist and employed at International Metals in maintenance. Survivors include wife Yvonne of the home, parents Albert and Lucille Desjarlais of Springville, NY; sons Jason and Allan of the home; daughter Kimberly Casteel of Sapulpa; brothers Robert of Sand Springs, Mike of Pennsylvania and Dennis of New York; sisters Susan Klein of Springville, NY and Jean Lux of NY; and one grandchild. Roy A. Desjarlais Funeral services for Ray A. Desjarlais were held at 2 pm Friday in the New Life Fellowship, Kellyville, with the Rev. Gary Staiger officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers were Dicky Lovell, Robert Desjarlais, Richard Hankins, Brian Slayton, Danny Steele and Johnny Steele. |
