MILDRED ELLIS
SAND SPRINGS — Mrs. Julius (Mildred Edith) Ellis, 87, Sand Springs, died
Saturday, at Doctor’s Hospital, Tulsa.
Funeral services are set to 10:30 am Wednesday at North Heights Freewill Baptist
church, Sapulpa, with the Rev. W. C. Hamilton officiating.
Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery,
Sapulpa, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.
She was born Oct 14, 1902, northwest of Sapulpa and married Julius Ellis on Oct
18, 1917, in Sapulpa.
Mrs. Ellis a lifelong Sapulpa resident was a housewife and a member of North Heights
Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include son Robert Ellis of Sapulpa; daughters Kathryn Hurt and Marie
Hancock, both of Tulsa and Wanda McGuire of Sand Springs; sisters Lillian
Holtzelaw of Norman and Violet Miller of Sapulpa; 14 grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
The family will headquarter at 408 W. 45th St. in Prattville on Wednesday.

Casket bearers will be Rick Ellis, Danny Ellis, Danny McGuire, Gary McGuire,
Mark McGuire and Tim Hurt.
Mrs. Ellis, a lifelong Sapulpa area resident, died Saturday at Doctor’s
Hospital, Tulsa.
The family will headquarter at 408 W. 45th in Sand Springs.
