Winfield, Cowley co., KansasJulia E. Hammond, Rt. 3 died today at 6:57 a.m. at Newton
Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1907, in Kellyville, Okla., she had lived here
since 1952, moving here from Shamrock, Okla. Her parents were
Thomas and Cynthia Gilreath. She was married to Joseph R.
Hammond Dec. 4, 1926, in Tulsa, Okla. He preceded her in death
Oct. 22, 1969.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Stiner,
Winfield; three brothers, Frank, Elvisa, Calif., Carman and Jim
of Pawhuska, Okla., five sisters, Mrs. Floyd Barrett, Little
Rock, Ark., Mrs. John Castro, Agnew, Calif., Mrs. John Pappas of
Portland, Ore., Mrs. Delbert Mayberry, Depew, Okla., and Mrs.
R.T. Stafford, Shamrock, Okla.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
Swisher-Taylor Chapel with the Rev. John House officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
