Janie O. Hayter, 86, of Sapulpa, died Wednesday at Hillcrest Medical
Center in Tulsa.
Services are to be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith Funeral Home with Rev.
David Houchin officiating.
Burial is to follow in the South Heights
Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Hayter was born May 8, 1907 in Woodville, Miss. She had lived in Sapulpa
most of her life. Hayter was a member of the First Baptist Church and
the Home Demonstration Club. She had been employed as a cook for the
Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
Hayter was preceded in death by her son Jimmy Cotton.
She is survived by sister Florence Rodgers of Denham Springs, LA; three
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
