MOUNDS - Mrs. J. W. (Ida Ellen) Haywood, 91, of Mounds, died today at Glenpool
Heath Center.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday at First Christian Church, Mounds,
with L. O. McNabb officiating.
Burial will follow at Mounds Cemetery
under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
She was born Oct 25, 1899, in Madison County, AR, and lived in Mounds since
1907. She formerly taught school in Twin Mounds.
Mrs. Haywood was a member of Mounds First Christian Church and served as
secretary of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was a member and secretary
of the Mounds Quilting Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Haywood, in 1974; sons
Johnny Dane Haywood in 1982 and Billy Wayne Haywood in 1986; and one grandchild.
Survivors include daughter Kathleen Sparks of Mounds; eight grandchildren; and
10 great-grandchildren.

MOUNDS - Funeral services for Ida Haywood will be held at 10:30 am Friday at
First Christian Church, Mounds with the Rev. L. O. McNabb officiating.
Burial will follow at Mounds Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Doyle Carter, Boyd Linduff, Tom Long, Jeff Culbert, Carl
Bacon and Bill Chilcoat.
Honorary casketbearers will be Bert Deem, Dude Crowder and Clint Roller.
The family will headquarter at the L. O. McNabb residence in Mounds.
