Ed S. Higgins, 83, of Sapulpa, died Wednesday at Bartlett Memorial Medical
Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, at First Baptist Church with
Rev. David Houchin officiating.
Burial will follow at South Heights
Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
He was born April 30, 1909, in Coweta. A retired salesman for Pittsburg Plate
Glass Company, a member of the Lions Club and Sertoma Club. He was also a member
of First Baptist Church where he was a deacon of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters, Joyce Moore and June Rivers, both
of Tulsa; step-sons, Dale Matts of Venicia, Calif., Leland Matts of Tulsa and
Dean Matts of Yukon; step-daughters, Patricia Davis of Pryor and Linda Creel of
Edmond; brother, Robert Higgins of Tulsa; one granddaughter, ten
step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.

Serving as casket bearers were Tom Sheriff, Jim McReynolds, Dr. Tom Burnett, Tom
Freeman, Bill Hatfield and Bill Myers.
Mr. Higgins, a long time Sapulpa resident, died Wednesday at Bartlett Memorial
Medical Center.
