Ruby Marie Hockett

Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 1988, in the sanctuary of the Free Will Baptist Church for longtime Drumright resident, Ruby Marie Hockett. Officiating was Rev Larry Eslinger. Organist was Rosemary Holder with vocalist Larita Ledgerwood. Serving as pallbearers were Danny Hoggatt, Tommy Elsheimer, Horace Zumwalt, Dennis Rickner, Lowell Cooper, and Mike Andre.

Ruby was born one of seven children to Edward and Salira Stanley on August 28, 1914, at Rowell, Oklahoma. Ruby had lived most of her life in Drumright and on September 18, 1932, Ruby and her late husband, Sherman Hockett, were united in marriage. Sherman preceded her in death on April 15, 1988. Three sons, three sisters, and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Ruby is survived by three sons, Gary Hockett, Cushing; Mick Hockett, Agra; and Dale Hockett, Woodward; (e)leven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Interment was in the Drumright North Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.
