Clarence Petty "C. P." Howard, 82, Rt.1, Mounds, died Friday in his home.

Services are to be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Duck Creek Community Church with Rev. Paul Martin officiating.

Burial is to follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Howard was born March 30, 1911in Okmulgee County and lived in this area all of his life. He had retired from the Sooner Tire Company where he had worked for 10 years. He was also a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of the Duck Creek Community Church. He was married to Edith Mable Wilson in 1935 in Okmulgee.

He is survived by wife Edith Mable of the home; daughter Mona Fitzpatrick of Mounds; brother Lawford Howard of Norman; sisters Lorene King of Tulsa and Helen MacHarg of California.

Funeral services for C. P. Howard were held 4 pm Saturday at Duck Creek Cemetery Community Church with the Rev. Paul Martin officiating.

Interment was in Duck Creek Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were: Russell Mathews, Ross Moore, Bobby Rosson, Clifford Rosson, Charlie Smith and Roy Schooley.
