Lawford E. Howard, 78, a former Mounds resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1994 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Duck Creek Cemetery in Mounds, with Rev. Paul Martin officiating. Arrangements are through Spivey Funeral Home of Mounds.

He was born April 24, 1916, in Okmulgee County.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a combat infantryman in central Europe. He was a former employee of Braden Winch as a machinist.

Survivors include two sisters, Lorene King of Tulsa and Helen B. MacHarg of Palos Verdes Estates, CA.
