Paul A. Jones, 69, died Wednesday, Feb. 15 at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 13, 1925 in Walton, West Virginia.

He married Blanda Himes on Aug. 25, 1946 in Elkins, West Virginia.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mounds and American Legion Post 15 in Muskogee.

Survivors include his wife, Bland, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Ann Exendine, Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Roger C. Jones, Mounds; two sisters, Mary Prunty, Richwood, West Virginia, and Madeline Jackson, Cooper City, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Roger Paul Jones, in 1977.

Casket bearers were Bill Cumbey, Ed Smith, Leroy Greer, C.R. Wood, Peter Burgard and Bob Hensley.
