Kenneth Wardell Langston Sr., 70, of Texas City, Texas, died Saturday at his residence.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Natchez National Cemetery with Rev. Steve Pearson officiating under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Langston was born April 28, 1923 in Sapulpa to Robert Taylor and Minnie Dallas Babbs Langston. He was retired from Bovaird Supply Company and was an active member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was an avid sports fan and gardener.

He is survived by wife Lou Verda Langston of Texas City, Texas; daughters Carolyn Verucchi of Natchez, Miss. and Deronda Maniscalco of Cody, Wyo.; son Kenneth Langston Jr. of Texas City, Texas; sisters Hettie Strain and Clara Murray, both of Tulsa; brothers Lawrence Langston and Doc Langston, both of Sapulpa; and five grandchildren.
