MOUNDS - Ernest A. Perkins Jr., 63, Rt. 1, Mounds, died Saturday at St. Francis
Hospital in Tulsa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Liberty-Mounds High
School Gymnasium with the Rev. Paul Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral
Home.
Mr. Perkins was born July 28, 1927 in Okmulgee County. He was retired from the
Riley Southwest Co. where he was a supervisor and had also worked for Riverside
Industries. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He is preceded
in death by his parents [father], two brothers
and two sisters.
Survivors include wife Delores; son David Perkins of Beggs; daughters Janie
Tollette of Locust Grove, Janet Hibbard of Sapulpa and Joy Cline of Oklahoma
City; brothers Elmer of Beggs, and Bart and LeRoy, both of Sapulpa; sisters
Juanita Welch, Frances Perkins and Alta Bock, all of Tulsa, Dorothy Meek of
Jenks, June Moore of Mannford and Loretta Trowbridge of Sapulpa; seven
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Ernest A. Perkins Jr., of Mounds were held Tuesday in the
Liberty-Mounds School Gymnasium with the Rev. Paul Martin officiating.
Burial followed in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Casketbearers were Bob Kirk, Junior Stice, Spike Madison, R.L. Cooper and Bob
Granger.
Honorary bearers were Dennis Mashburn, Bob Cox and Jay McLaughlin.
Mr. Perkins, a lifelong resident of this area, died Saturday at Saint Francis
Hospital in Tulsa.
