Mr. Ernest A. Perkins, Sr., 85, of Sapulpa, died today at his home.
Services are set for 2 pm Thursday at Frankoma Road Church of God with the Revs.
Richard Madden and Don McIntosh officiating.
Burial will be at Green Hills
Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Perkins was born June 26, 1902, in Cave City, Ark., and moved to the Beggs
and Mounds area in 1925.
He moved to Sapulpa in 1954 and was a former Carnation Milk Company employee and
a member of the Frankoma Road Church of god and Teamsters Local #523.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Janie; a son and daughter in infancy;
son Frank; daughter Thelma LaFever, five grandchildren; five brothers, and one
sister.
Survivors include wife Frances Lee; sons Ernest Jr.
of Mounds, Elmer of Beggs, and Lee Roy and Barton, both of Sapulpa; daughters
Juanita Welch, Francis Perkins and Alta Bock, all of Tulsa, Dorothy Meek of
Jenks, June Moore of Mannford and Loretta Trowbridge of Sapulpa; step-daughters
Sue Ann Perkins of Tulsa and Glenda Wesley of Sand Springs; brother Kenneth
Perkins of Blackstrap, Texas; half-brother Lester Moreland of Waco, Texas;
sisters Jessie Gregory of Mathis, Texas, Ruby Pell and Mari Lou Howard of
DeQueen, Ark, May Greer and Fay Jones of Mounds and Lois Carter of Oakhurst; 56
grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
