Linda "Suzy" Roberts, of Mounds, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at the age of 59.

She was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Sapulpa, to Wilferd and Allie Smith Granger. She lived in this area all of her life; she was a member of the Mounds First Baptist Church and had worked 30 years as the dispatcher for the Mounds Fire Department; was a member of the Women's Club at her church; was a graduate of Sapulpa High School; and she married Junior Roberts on May 25, 1962 in Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ronald Granger; in laws Gaynes H. and Dillie Roberts.

Survivors are her husband Junior, of the home in Mounds; daughter Shelley Thomas and husband Jim, of Oklahoma City; son Gary Don Roberts and wife Lora, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Nick Thomas and Brennan Thomas, both of Oklahoma City and Jeremy Roberts, of Sapulpa; brother Bob Granger and wife Sharon, of Del Ray, Fla; and sister Sherry Estes and husband Donnie, of Sapulpa.

Funeral services for Suzy have been set for 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in the Mounds First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dick Knox officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mounds Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casketbearers will be Jay Sturman, Billy Don Price, Dale Newman, Jim Newberry, Bill Byrd and Ronnie Harris. Honorary bearers will be the Mounds Volunteer Firemen.
