Henry F. Taber, Sr., 73, 1030 E. McKinley, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Taber was born May 18, 1919, in Dugginsville, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He had lived in Sapulpa since moving from Vinita in 1968. He married Sharon Sayers on August 20, 1983, in Miami. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Licking, Missouri.

Survivors include wife, Sharon; children Avalene Bellamy of Springfield, Missouri, Colene Hampton, Henry Taber Jr., Joylene Enlow and Darlene Owens, all of Sapulpa; stepchildren Robert Smallwood of Bristow, Teresa Pickering of Sapulpa and Lesa Shook of west Tulsa; sisters Mandy Haynes of White Church, Arkansas, and Ola Collins of Mt. Steriling, Illinois; brothers Javon and Joe Taber, both of Prattville, Rev. Allen Taber of Tulsa and Junior Tabor of Cleveland; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and former wife Alene Taber of Sapulpa.

Funeral services for Henry F. Taber, Sr. were held today at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Davis officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Taber, a longtime Sapulpa resident, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
