Ralph Young, 93 of Kellyville passed away Thursday, March 7, 2002, at St. John Sapulpa. He was born Oct. 16, 1908 near Marshfield, Mo. to Bert Albert Young and Mary Elizabeth Flowers.

Ralph married Lucy Lucille Young Sept. 6, 1937 in Sapulpa. He was a carpenter and mason for Roop and G.W. Gentry Construction Co. of Sand Springs. He also worked as an electrician for McDonnel Douglas.

After retiring from a full time job, he enjoyed tending a herd of cattle well into his 80's. He was a member of the Kellyville United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his two daughters, Doris Hill of Parnell, Iowa and Barbara Morris of Kellyville; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Ray and Della Lowder of Kellyville; one brother, Roy Young of Northview, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Ralph have been set for 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, at the Sunrise Cemetery with Dr. Nolan Thomas and the Rev. George Chambers officiating.

Interment will follow under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Kellyville United Methodist Church, Kellyville Christian Church of a charity of your choice.
