Rick Parkinson was born November 18, 1925. A successful insurance salesman, he had a taste for life that he expressed in his zeal for travel and his enjoyment for food. He loved God and was a cherished member of Calvary Lighthouse of Bixby.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Aaron and mother, Rose Ann, and two bothers, Preston, Earl.

He is survived by his wife, Faye of the home; son, Mike and wife Marie of Colorado Springs, Col, son Rick Jr. and wife Linda of Hectorville; grandson, Richard III and wife Jessica of Tulsa; one niece Fern Reed and husband Elmer of Portales, New Mexico; step-daughter Sharon McCaskill of Sapulpa, step-son Melvin Eugene Jones and wife Shelia of Mounds, five step-grandkids and 10 step-great-grandkids, and a host of friends.

Rick was taken to his heavenly home on the morning of October 22, 2012. He will be loved and missed by all.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Smith Funeral Chapel, Sapulpa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Calvary Lighthouse Church, Bixby. Officiating will be the Reverend Daniels. Interment to follow at Mounds Cemetery.
