MOUNDS – Mr. Elbert L. Alspaw, 85, Mounds, died Friday at the Glenpool Health Center, Glenpool.

Services will be 2 pm Tuesday at the Mounds First Assembly of God with the Rev. Kenneth Creason officiating.

Burial will be at Mounds City Cemetery under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home, Mounds.

Mr. Alspaw was born Sep 6, 1903, in Guymon, Indian Territory. He was a lumberyard worker and a member of the Sapulpa American Legion.

Survivors include wife Ethyl; daughter Patricia Allen of Mounds; brother Erman of California; sisters Eva Foreman, Edith Thompson, Elsie Cox and Elda Shears, all of California, and Esther Hodson of Oakhurst; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Elbert's full name is Elbert Lafey Alspaw, son of Robert Lee Alspaw & Lydia Ann (Sisler) Alspaw also buried at Mounds Cemetery.
