Clara W. Arter, 74, Okla., died Saturday, July 22, 1995 at Baptist Regional Health Center.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Rev. Gerald L. Baser officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens, directed by Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.

She was born Nov. 10, 1920 at Slick to William W. and Ethel Richarson Winchell.

She married David N. Arter, and he preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1987.

She moved to Miami from Sapulpa in 1952. They owned and operated Winart Pottery Co. until 1982. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and First Presbyterian Church of Miami.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leona Hamilton, Muenster, TX, and nieces.

The family will receive friends at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and sent care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leona Hamilton, Muenster, TX; sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Winchell, Sapulpa; six nieces, Janis Smith, Judy Hudgins, and Trula Baysinger, all of Sapulpa, Tommy Sue Hess and Patsy Waltersheid, both of Muenster, and Clara Ann Walker, Kendrick.
