John Henry Benge, b. February 11, 1895, in Logan County Arkansas. His parents moved to Chickasaw Nation before 1899, where they lived near Hart. His parents were Rev. William Harrison Benge, and Eliza Diane Russell. He is buried in McGee Cemetery, near Stratford. His son, LD Benge , ordered the military stone for his grave much later, and was confused about his dad's name. For this reason, the headstone read Henry J. or Henry John Benge. He was known through out is life as Henry

Seldon Edward Burks was born March 21, 1884 Sweetwater Texas. His parents were Thomas and Sarah (Simer) Burks. Seldon was raised in Antioch Oklahoma with four brothers and two sisters. He married Iva Sue Murdock on June 4, 1915 and they remained together for fifty-six years until her passing in 1971.
He was the tallest of the Burks brothers and upon his enlistment into the United States Army in 1917, he stood 5' 8 �", brown eyes, black hair, and dark complexion. Seldon was in the infantry during World War I and he fought the Germans on the front lines in the trenches of France. He was a quiet man of few words. He talked about the war only once that I can remember, and it was a special occasion. During the war the Germans used mustard gas and Seldon, almost died from the experience. Seldon, was Honorably Discharged in 1919 and he received a disability pension for the rest of his life.
Seldon and Iva moved New Mexico about 1921. He died March 21, 1974 and is buried next to wife at T.or C., Sierra County, New Mexico.

Tom Burks was born Jan. 1, 1899 in Texas . He was raised in Antioch , Garvin County, Oklahoma. The son of Thomas and Sarah (Simer) Burks. He married Jewell Johnson January 18, 1921 Garvin County, Oklahoma.Tom died January 4, 1970 and is buried next to his wife at Antioch Cemetery, Garvin County, Oklahoma.

Olin Burks was born Nov. 1, 1896 in Texas, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Simer) Burks. Olin never married . He died March 11, 1955 in Antioch . He is buried at Antioch Cemetery, Garvin County, Oklahoma.
