Private Company I, Caddo Indian Battalion Born in 1830 in Ireland Died December 19, 1924 south of Wynnewood Buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and does not currently have a military headstone rather the tall white marker with a cross pictured here. Block 131. The second white marker with cross is his son, Frank Michael was in Texas in 1857 before moving to Ft. Cobb, Indian Territory in 1859 and finally to the Wynnewood area in 1864, where he made his living as a farmer. He residence was about 5 miles south of Wynnewood in 1895 He was stationed at Fort Arbuckle, Indian Territory during the War His military designation is taken from an affidavit given in support of Zach Gardner's military service His wife Emma was born in 1854 and died in 1929. She is buried beside. Their son Frank, was born January 9, 1868 and died July 13, 1903, and is buried near them at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood |
