Buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and does not currently have a military headstone

Columbus lived south of Wynnewood at Chigley after coming to this country in the mid 1800's.

He made his living as a farmer

C.F. Nelson of Chigley, is the grandson of Columbus Nelson and tells us Columbus was 1/2 Chickasaw
