Private Company C, 28th Mississippi Cavalry Born in 1846 in Carroll Co., Mississippi Died September 3, 1928 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma He died of heart failure at his residence. His attending physician was Dr. M.E. Robberson. He may be buried at Wynnewood View Cemetery as there is a William Russell Noland resting there who is likely his brother. He lived around Celeste and Leonard, Texas until about 1910 when he came to Oklahoma. He was living in Durant, Oklahoma in 1915 when he applied for his pension. He enlisted on July 8, 1863 and was surrendered with his command on May 5, 1865. In his pension application he stated that he owned eight vacant lots in Bokchito, valued at $320.00
