James is buried at Musgrove Cemetery in Washington, Oklahoma and does have a military marker

Before moving to the Wynnewood area in 1901 when he settled at Chigley, he lived in Tennessee, Saint Jo, Texas and Courtney, Indian Territory

He was in Washington, Oklahoma in 1909, Durango, Colorado in 1910 and in Foster, Oklahoma after March 6, 1920

James made his living as a farmer
