"William H. George was born at Owensburg, Ind., May 7, 1863. He moved with his parents while young to near Yates Center, Kansas. There he was married to Anna Mollet December 20, 1884. To this union were born four boys. The wife, three sons, four sisters and one brother are left with many friends to mourn his departure. He united with the Church of Christ in 1902 and lived the Christian life until his death April 24, 1919. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Ammons on April --at the home near the Deer Creek school house and burial was made in the cemetery north of the Kansas line. " |
"Selma--Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Margaret George, 91, will be held tomorrow at 2 PM in the Page Chapel here. Burial will be in the Springside Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kan. Mrs. George, a native of Erie, Kan., died in a Fresno hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Selma and had lived here about 10 years. She is survived by two sons, J.G. George of Selma and L.W. George of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Charles Mollett of Missoula Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Mary McGlothlin of Battleground, Wash.; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandhcildren and 26 great great grandchildren. Selma, CA., 1958. " |
