Doss B. Harris
March 7, 1883 ~ May 15, 1963 

Doss (Dorsey) B. Harris married Lou/Lue (DeHart) Parsons in Sept. 1914. They lived in the Heavener Area until 1922 when Doss lost his job with the railroad and they moved to Fort Smith, AR, where they lived the rest of their lives. Lou & Doss had three children: Eula Hazel, William Paul, and Odell.

born Blackfork, Arkansas

Lou/Lue Ida (DeHart) was the daughter of Alfred Judson & Luvinney Watkins DeHart. Her grandparents were Eli Martin & Eliza (Elder) D'Hart (DeHart). She was the sister of William Dave & John Alfred DeHart who lived most of their lives in LeFlore County, OK. Lou/Lue married Colonel L. McQueen in 1896, he was killed in a hunting accident in 1901. After his death she married Joe Parsons in 1902. Mr. Parsons died in 1913, and she married Doss B. Harris in 1914. They were living in Heavener in 1920, but after Mr. Harris lost his job with the railroad they moved to Fort Smith, AR, in 1922, living there the rest of their lives. 

She had one son by Mr. McQueen named Alvin. Two children by Joe Parsons: Mary Cora & Ted Owen. Three children by Doss Harris: Eula Hazel, William Paul, and Odell. Lou/Lue bore a total of 12 children, only 6 lived. Lue DeHart Harris was a kind and loving person. She attended church regularly until her sudden death.
