James Arlie "Sonny" Tarwater, 74 of Oakdale died at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.

Mr. Tarwater was a native of STAEPP, OKLAHOMA. He lived in Oakdale 44 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Velma Gardner of Sonora and Clara Cole of Modesto.

A graveside service was conducted on Friday, February 5th, at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, California.
