Marshall (LSN). . . . . Lt. Harold Ahrnsbrak (Frank) of Marshall was among a small group of American oficers who volunteered to lead the first wave of the American army across the Roer River into the very face of massive German resistance according to press releases in this country in last Saturday morning's paper. The big advance started in the early morning hours under terrific bombardment- as Lt. Ahrnsbrak and five others pushed off from the American side of the river and landed on the German side in the face of withering machine gun fire and inched their way forward to lead the great successful assault which followed.
