Boys in Service

Word was received Thrusday by Mr. and Mrs. R . B. Phillips, 1112 W. Mansur, that their son, R. B. Phillips jr, has been promoted to private first class.

Pvt. Phillips is with the Marine Corps, stationed at Pearl Harbor.

Mrs. Edward Dutcher, 1823 E. Grant, received word Thrusday that her husband, Pvt. Dutcher has been transferred from Enid Flying School to Foster Field, Victoria, Texas.

Announcement was made Thrusday of the promotion of John Wise Hamill from third class petty office to second class petty officer. Hamill, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Hamill, 1623 W. Oklahoma, is stationed with the Coast Guard at Miami, Florida.

Petty Officer John F. Elder of the U. S. Navy has been transfered from San Diego, Calif., to Miami, Florida
