Milas Doyle Thompson S. 1-C

Participated in the invasion of Guadalcanal and was stationed there four months. Also saw combat in the invasion of Sicily. He is a member of the Fleet Landing Force of the U.S. Navy and is now stationed somewhere overseas.

Thompson, 22, was graduated from Guthrie highschool and was employed on the Guthrie Fire Department before entering the service January 16, 1942.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Thompson, 307 S. First St.
