Is in charge of communications aboard ship and is now located at the Norfolk naval base, Norfolk, Va.

He was inducted into the navy October 15, 1942 and received boot training at the Great Lakes Naval training center.

He was formerly employed at Downing Candy company.

His wife is Mrs. Maxine Spalding Phillips.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Phillips, 805 E. Springer Ave.
