Mrs. Lydia (Hartman) Kissner, daughter of Rev. Mrs., H. W. Hartman, was born on the 22nd day
of June, 1886. In her early childhood her parents settled 5 miles west of Orlando, her
father ministering to the Zion Evangelical Church nearby.
She has been a faithful member of the Evangelical church since her youth.
On Jan, 12 1909 she was joined to Ruben Kissner in holy matrimony. This happy
home was blest with four children, Clifford, Duane, Dorine and Arlene.
Mrs. Kissner was not privileged to enjoy the best of health for a number of years,
though she was able to be about most of the time. Hoping to find better health by submitting to surgery, she went to the hospital on Feb. 9th and was operated on the following day. Two days later complications of surgery set in and on Friday, Feb. 16th at 8:30 her spirit left her body to meet her Savior in glory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Fred and Elmer
and a sister Alma.
She leaves to mourn her unexpected passing, her children; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Kissner, Orlando; Mr. Duane Kissner, Denver, Col.; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kolb, Red Rock; Miss Arlene Kissner, Oklahoma City. Four grandchildren – Barbara Jean Kissner.
Marilyn, Carolyn and Glen Kolb. Five brothers, Will, of Wheaton, Mo., Rev. Charles F., Hutchinson, Kans., Walter E., Los Angeles, Calif., Harvey E., Norman, Okla., and Frank of Mulhall, one sister, Mrs. Arthur Stein at present of Orlando, and many relatives and friends.
Though we mourn her passing we grieve not as those who are without hope, knowing that she now beholds the One in whom she believed.
