Most of the tombstones of my kin in Summit View and Seward cemeteries aren't particularly interesting, with the except of John Lewis Benson's, photo attached. He was very proud of his Civil War service in Co. E 5th Kansas Volunteer Cavalary. He was apparently a member of the Woodmen of the World, which provided the distinctive "tree stump" gravestones for their deceased members until the 1920s.
