Daisy Holliday Mock

Daisy Holliday was b. 4-24-1880 in Kirkwood, Warren County, IL. She was #6 of James and Sarah's 10 children. She moved, with her family, some time prior to 3/1891, to Crescent, OK where her younger brother, Roy Logan Holliday was born. She married Daniel Mock, date and place unknown, and had two sons; Fred McKinley Mock & Percy Mock. Their birth dates are unknown to me except I know Fred was born in 1903. Fred was born on a farm north of Crescent and family later moved to Marshall then at some later time they moved to Enid. Fred became an attorney. He was a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in about 1954 as the article I have, from some OK newspaper, is dated 10-24-1954. That news article erroneously lists W.B. Holliday as his grandfather, when James Mitchell actually was his grandfather and that same article says he, James, was a Republican member of the Territorial Legislature. Fred attended Phillips University in Enid and was elected President of that student body in 1923 and he later went on to the University of OK for his law degree. He married Bernice Wysong, a concert pianist, in 1928 and at some later time this couple settled in Oklahoma City.
