Taken last summer, this photo of the barn built about 1895 by C. W. Scheihing on his homestead south of Guthrie. The foundation is built of sandstone blocks quarried on the property. The roof was originally wood shingles; the tin roof was installed about 15 years ago when the property was used as a setting for the film "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys."
See here for a look inside.
