    Boudreau Rites are Held Here

    Funeral services for one of Purcell's oldest pioneers were held here Tuesday morning with friends and relatives from a wide area of the state attending.
    Services for Emile Boudreau, 82, were held in Our Lady of Victory church, with Father John Wade officating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery under the direction of the Conner-Roberts funeral home.
    A resident of Purcell for more than 79 years, Boudreau worked for over 30 years for the Trudgeon Lumber Company. He had been retired for several years and died early Sunday following an illness of several months.

    Emile Boudreau Buried Tuesday

    Had Lived In Purcell 79 Years

    Emile J. Boudreau, 82, a resident of Purcell for 79 years, died early Sunday at his home. He had been in failing health for several months.
    Born at Aurora, Kansas, he moved to Purcell with his parents at an early age. On Feb. 15, 1911, he married Nelda L. Cardinal at Purcell.
    Boudreau was employed as bookkeeper at the Trudgeon Lumber Co. for 31 years and later worked for the Naval Air Gunnery School near Lexington and the Wilson Furniture company. He had been retired for several years.
    A rosary service was held at the Conner-Roberts chapel Monday evening and the funeral service at Our Lady of Victory Tuesday morning, with Father John Wade officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery.
    In addition to his wife, Nelda, of the home, Boudreau is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Stella M. Hoye, Wichita, Kan; Mrs. Mary Agnes Matheson, Raynham, Mass.; six sons, Steve of Oklahoma City, Raphael and Bill, both of Dallas, texas; George of Bethany; and Alphonse of San Pablo, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
    Casket bearers were Buddy Williams, Robert Stephens, Henry Dumas, Clarence Dumas, Leo Marquis, and Henry Giroux.
