Alta Graham

    Purcell Register
    December 1, 1910

Alta, daughter of G.C. and Susan Graham was born in Evans, Colorado, November 17, 1876, and died in Purcell, Oklahoma, November 27th, 1910, at 12:30 a.m. after an illness of 22 days with typhoid fever.
All was done that loving hands could do to keep her with us. The family kept faithful watch, and kind friends rendered every assistance possible, but to no avail. Our loss will be heaven's gain, for she was a Christian. Her pure spirit has gone to enjoy the blessings of the Paradise of God. Heaven will be of greater interest to us now, since our daughter, sister and friend is there awaiting our arrival. Her departure will serve to draw us closer to God and to Christ who said "I am the door."
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral services were held in the home, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. R.E. J. Thompson on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Nov. 27. There was a large company present. Many beautiful flowers were presented by loving friends. The body was laid at rest in Hillside cemetery near Purcell.
