Nabeeha "Nevada" Andrews, Our beloved mother fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995. She was born Aug. 15, 1910.

She was preceded in death by her husband E.H. "Doc" Andrews. She followed in death her dear sister, Najeeba "Nellie" Shadid by exactly 3 weeks. Nevada was the last of 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Her greatest sorrow was the death of her eldest son, Al, Feb. 18, 1992.

Nevada is survived by 2 daughters & their husbands, Thelma & Jimmy Kouri , Wichita Falls, Tx., Darlene & Corkey Johnson; one son & his wife, Joe & Jill Andrews; 9 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren who adored her and will miss her always. Our mother worked hard all her life. She owned and operated Andrews Market, 63rd & N. Western, OKC, until Feb. 1991. She loved people and was loved by them because of the purity of her heart and the sweetness of her spirit. Our mom never uttered an unkind word to anybody and was the most gentle, peaceful person this world has ever known.

Prayer of Mercy service will be 7:30 p.m. Wed ., Aug. 23 and the funeral service will be Thurs., Aug. 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mike, Tony & Chip Kouri , David Andrews, Don Andrews & Jeff Johnson. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, OKC. Memorials may be made to St. Elijah's Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund, 2101 N.W. 16th St., OKC 73107. No language can express the power, beauty, heroism and majesty of our mother's love. It shrinks not where man cowers and grows stronger where ma n faints, and over the wastes of worldly fortune sends the radiance of quenchless fidelity like a star in heaven. Mom, we'll miss you so deeply---Until we meet again
