Ball, Anna Peace died on December 28, 1996, at the age of 99 years, 4 months and 8 days. She was born August 20, 1897, in Beckham County, Indian Territory. She moved to OKC in 1919. Anna was a member of the Warr Acres Church of Christ, Scientist, where she served as Assistant Librarian in the Reading Room for many years. She was also a long time member of the Oklahoma Chrysanthemum Society, and had won numerous honors for her flowers.

Anna Ball was preceded in death by her 15 brothers and sisters, the last of whom died in July, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her great grandson, Kyle Joseph Wackerly.

Survivors include her daughter, Julia Ball Pitzer of OKC; grandchildren, Bill Wilson, John C. Pitzer, Jr., and Jim and Sue Wackerly; and great grandchildren Scott and Jeff Wilson, and Brian Wackerly. Graveside services will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery, on Tuesday December 31, 1996 at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, P.O. Box 32272, OKC, OK 73123.
