Oklahoma soldier faced danger while serving their country in
Operation Iraqi Enduring Freedom only to die in car accidents
after returning, friends and family said.
Sean Crockett , 23, was driving on base the
evening of May 31, [2004] while stationed at Camp Pendleton,
Calif., when he apparently missed a curve in the road and rolled
his sport utility vehicle, his family said.
Crockett was flown to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced
dead.
Angie Crockett said her husband had settled down after his "wild
and crazy" high school days in Harrah. After he joined the
Marine Corps, married and had two children, she said, he told
her his life was "a dream that came true."
Crockett said her husband spent nine months in Iraq in early
2003, and was preparing to leave for a second tour.
"He was the answer to my mother's and father's prayers. He was
wonderful to me and treated me like a princess," Crockett said.

Allen Crockett, Sean Allen, age 23, was born April 14, 1981 and
died tragically in a car accident at Camp Pendleton, CA on May
31, 2004.
Sean was a United States Marine who served with the Special
Forces during his time in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His biggest
concern during his overseas tour of duty was the welfare of the
Iraqi children. Sean was a 1999 graduate of Harrah High school.
He spent his childhood loving the game of soccer. He was a
member of the Allstate West Soccer Team, the Norman Celtics
81's, as well as an Olympic Development Player which allowed him
to play his favorite sport all over the country. Sean was a
fun-loving prankster that people enjoyed spending time with. He
was a Mexican food connoisseur and quite a chef. He really
enjoyed animals, movies, music, and Mexican food. Sean married
the love of his life, Angie, just two months ago. Sean will be
remembered for his passion for life, caring attitude, smiles,
and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Angie, and two daughters, Makenzie
and Makaila; mother and father, Lisa and Ronnie Heinrich; father
Dirk Crockett; father in law and mother in law, Steven and Vicky
Yeargain; sister, Katie Porter and husband Chris and their two
children; sisters Stefanie and Nichole; his aunt and best friend
Misty Lathan; and his lifelong
friends Jeremy, Mark, and Aaron. He is also survived by his
great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, too many friends to mention but who all loved
him so dearly.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday June 7, 2004,
at Life Church TV at 2001 NW 178th St. at Pennsylvania, with a
reception to follow for family and friends at the church. In
lieu of flowers please send Memorial Contributions to Bank 1st
in Harrah for the Makenzie & Makaila Crockett College Fund.
