Alice Farris, died June 18, 2003, in Oklahoma City. She was born
July 1, 1915, to David and Emmaline Farris . Alice belonged to
Alpha Mahlo Chi. She worked for John A. Brown, JC Penneys and
ran her own children's shop for several years. Alice had 13
nieces and nephews that she adored as they did her.
She was the backbone of the family and kept her family close.
To her, the love of her family was always a priority. She will
be remembered as a warm, loving and giving person. She had a
great laugh that was contagious. Alice brought great joy to all
who knew her.
Her parents, sister, Rose Shdeed (sic), and brother,
Jim
Farris , preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph, and his wife, Elizabeth,
OKC, and sisters, Josephine Nayfa, and her husband, Fred,
Sweetwater, TX, and Sally David, Wichita, KS. A Trisagion
Service will be held at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox
Christian Church at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 21, with the
funeral service following at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at
Fairlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Flowers that do
not Whither Fund at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian
Church, 15000 N. May Ave., OKC, 73134. Smith & Kernke Funeral
