Kathryn Sue Hill died January 20, 2007 at home, in the loving
care of her husband, Gene Hill, of a brain tumor. Kathy was born
the third of six children to Floyd and Thelma Tallent on July
21, 1953 in Snyder, TX. After graduating from Star Spencer High
School in 1971 she married Albert Eugene Wallar on March 31,
1972 and was employed as an operator for Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company in 1978. Her work ethic led her to begin a
second career in real estate prior to retiring after 25 years
from Southwestern Bell. Kathy had the pleasure of working with
many wonderful people at Day Realty and Bob Linn and Associates,
and those close to her knew Kathy took pride in her work and her
friendships. Kathy was a modest and talented artist with a love
for animals. Her vivacious personality and dedication to her
family were evident, and on October 2, 1984 with birth of her
daughter, Amanda Leigh Wallar, Kathy knew God and was thankful
for her blessings. Kathy would be blessed again with the birth
of her son, Weslie Allen Hill, on January 13, 1994 and with her
marriage to his father Gene Hill. Kathy led a full life and
enjoyed spending time shopping with friends and family; quietly
watching movies with her son; dancing with her husband; or
treating herself to a fast game of bingo or a casual game of
Bunco with friends.
Kathy's passing will leave a hole in the lives of many;
especially touched are her husband, Gene Hill of Moore, OK and
her children, Amanda Wallar of Oklahoma City, OK and Weslie Hill
of the home. Of her siblings, Kathy is survived by her sisters,
Carolyn Stancell of Muleshoe, TX; Brenda Chambers of Midwest
City, OK; Laurie Frans of Weatherford, OK; and her brother
Leslie Tallent of Midwest City, OK.
Kathy goes to meet her deceased brother, James Tallent of
Choctaw, OK and her parents and grandparents. Funeral service
will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Grace
Place Baptist Church at 9300 S. Anderson Road under the
direction of Ford Funeral Service, with burial following at
Elmwood
Cemetery in Choctaw.
