James Clifford Huckleberry, Sr. 78 of Choctaw, passed away on
Monday, Jun 23, 2003 at the Norman Veterans Center where he had
resided for the last five years. He was born to James E.
and Bertha A. (Gains) Huckleberry on March 20, 1925 in Konawa,
Oklahoma. James served in the Army then retired from the
Air Fore Reserves. He came to Choctaw in 1960 previously
living in Del City. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Nicoma Park. He retired from civil service at
Tinker AFB as a supervisor.
James is survived by a daughter Suzan Heath and husband
Stanley of Choctaw, seven grandchildren; Michael Huckleberry of
Newalla, Kelli Riley, Stanley Heath, Jr., and wife Marsha of
Choctaw, Katie Heath of Choctaw, Greg Shreeve of Phoenix, Az.,
Jeffery and Jaimey Heath of Choctaw, two great grand children
Lacey Cantrell and Ashleigh Heath, sister Edwina Hail of
Oklahoma City.
James was preceded in death by his parents, wife Katie, son
James, Jr., daughter Janiece Shreeve and brother Earnest. Graveside
services will held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 25, 2003, at Elmwood
Cemetery in Chochtaw. Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home.
