Audra Mae Huston , 79, of Choctaw, passed away May 6, 1992 after a gallant and courageous two year battle with cancer. Born May 24, 1912 in Newalla, Okla., the eldest of nine children of Ed and Lona Wood.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Sam, and three grandsons. She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Herbert and Susie, Josh, Sam and Ruth, Archie and Veronica, all of Choctaw; three daughters and sons-in-law, Naoma and Paul Carney of Rudy, Ark., Jean and Luther Hunter of Warr Acres, Peggy and Manuel Perez of Broken Arrow; 28 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Davis, Rena Smith and Wanda Warren; two brothers, Leighton and Dan Wood, all of whom adored her.

Her life was blessed with love from her family and all who knew her.

Audra will lie in state at her residence and the family will be accepting visitors until 8:00 p.m. Friday. Services will be at Texas Baptist Church on Saturday, May 9, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Elmwood Cemetery at Choctaw, Ok. s
