JENSEN Bill, age 74, of MWC, passed away May 16, 2001. He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Davenport, OK, to L.K. & Veda (Niblack) Jensen. Bill married Dorothy Huser, Dec. 26, 1952, in Wewoka, OK. This union was blessed with one daughter. Bill, better known as "Coach Jensen", was Coach and Athletic Director of Choctaw High School for 30 yrs. & also taught Driver's Education.

He led the football team to the Class B State Championship in 1960 & the baseball team to the Class 3A State Championship in 1974. His overall Choctaw football record was 165-66-4 & baseball was 521-219. Coach Jensen was inducted into the Okla. High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 1980, the East Central State College Hall of Fame in 2000 & the Okla. Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2001.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy; his daughter, Jan Brooks & husband, Fred of Atlanta, GA; 1 granddaughter, Lucy Brooks; 1 brother, Bear Jensen & wife, Hazel of Norman; 1 sister, Irene Deskin of Norman; 2 nephews, 3 nieces & a host of other family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat., at Lyle Boren Activities Center at Choctaw High School with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.
