Karon Denise Pershica, 28, of Choctaw, passed away Apr. 21, 1998. Born Jan. 20, 1970 in MWC to Ernest & Reda (Rowland) Leverich. She was a Workers Comp Fee Schedule Clerk & was a member of 1st Southern Baptist of Del City.

Karon is survived by her 2 children, Clinton Floyd & Jessica Elaine Pershica of the home; her parents, Ernest & Reda Leverich of the home & 3 sisters, Michelle Hammons of Rutledge, GA, Kelley Stevens of Chicago, IL & Dawn Ann Leverich of OKC. Services will be 2:00 PM, Fri. at 1st Southern Baptist Church of Del City with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.

Police were en route to a domestic dispute in the parking lot of Crestwood Baptist Church when someone called back to report gunfire. Officers were too late.

Timothy Pershica, 31, shot his ex-wife, 28, several times with a handgun and then killed himself with the gun.

"They (officers) could not get there in time to save them," police Capt said.
