Shawnee, OK ... Mae White was granted a divorce from Ewers White,
republican member of the board of agriculture and owner of the
Sunnyside farm at McLoud...suit not contested, no alimony or
division of property granted. They have lived apart for two
years.

Sapulpa, Okla., Ewers White erstwhile 'potato king" of Oklahoma
is president, and H. P. Cox, secretary, of a Roosevelt club
organized here. The hero of the steel merger is very popular
hereabouts.

McLoud, Okla. Ewers White plans to gradually increase his
alfalfa acreage until he has 700 acres planted...then he will
probably be the leading alfalfa grower of the state.

Ewers White in her answer to Bessie Dougals' petition to her
suit for $15,000 alleged slander damages filed, asked that Miss
Dougal recover nothing from him and that he be given a judgment
of $100 against her and "that plaintiff be committed to jail
until all attorney fees and cost of this action be paid."

McLoud Man Will Take Over Alva McDonald's Post Monday Morning
Ewers White of McLoud, new United States marshal for the western
district of Oklahoma, announced the appointment of four deputy
marshals Saturday night.
White will succeed Alva McDonald who has held the post for the last four
years. The four deputies names are: L. N. White of Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma, who will be chief clerk; Amos Ewing of Guthrie;
J. V. Clouse of Shawnee; Mrs. Ada Reynolds of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. White said two other deputy marshals will be appointed
later. Mrs. Reynolds will not join in the bandit hunts, but will
serve in a clerical position.

Ewers White Said To Be Some Better
Guthrie - A very slight improvement in the condition of Ewers
White, 65, marshal for the western district of Oklahoma was
noted Saturday according to the physician in charge. White has
pneumonia in the left lung and art of the right lung has
pleursey (sic).

Death Claims U.S. Marshal
Ewers White Is Victim of Pneumonia Also Attack of Heart Trouble
Ewers White, died Tuesday, midnight in a Guthrie hospital after an illness
of two weeks. He was 65 years old. Death was caused by pneumonia
and an attack of heart trouble. Mrs. White was at the bedside
when the marshal died.
Coming to Oklahoma in 1889, White soon established himself as one of the
most successful farmers in the state. His home in the Canadian
river valley near McLoud was one of the show places of Oklahoma
in the early days. He is survived by his wife and four sons.
